CINGHS 2022-2023 Accountability Rating By TEA Explained

From Principal Zipkes:

You may have noticed that our school received a “D” rating for the 2022–2023 year, despite having previously earned a “B”. We are proud to share that for 2025, we received an “A”.

The drop wasn’t because our students or teachers performed worse. In 2022–2023, the state revised its accountability system after the school year ended, significantly raising standards, particularly for college, career, and military readiness. Like many schools across Texas, we were graded using these new rules retroactively, without time to adjust.

Once we had clear targets, our students and staff rose to the challenge. Our current “A” rating reflects their hard work, growth, and dedication.

Thank you for your support in helping us achieve this success together!
