Principal’s Weekly Message (October 12–19)
Hello Parents and Guardians,
It was a swift and productive week that wrapped up on Friday with our Seniors participating in a free SAT testing day. We’re proud of our students for taking this important step toward their future college and career goals.
Raptor of the Month
The past couple of weeks have also brought several exciting celebrations to share. Each month, our teachers nominate and select a student who best represents our school’s core values of Trust, Respect, Responsibility, Perseverance, and Integrity as our Raptor of the Month. For September, our staff proudly selected Alyssa Cyphers! Congratulations, Alyssa, on setting an excellent example for your peers through your positive attitude and commitment to excellence.
Region 13 Teacher of the Month
We are also thrilled to announce that Dr. Janice Trinidad has been selected as the Region 13 Teacher of the Month! Region 13 serves 53 school districts, 27 charter schools, 8 higher education institutions, and 18 private schools across Central Texas, including Travis, Hays, and Williamson counties, and represents over 21,000 teachers. This is an incredible honor and a testament to Dr. Trinidad’s dedication, leadership, and the inspiring work she does each day with our students. (This is the second time a Cedars International Next Generation High School teacher has received this honor!)
National Honor Society
Congratulations also go out to all of our new members of the National Honor Society! We are proud to share that CINGHS had a record number of 16 new inductees! This is a true testament to the academic achievement, service, leadership, and character that define our students and our school community.
Student Holiday
Please also note that Monday, October 13, is a Student Holiday—there will be no school. We hope everyone enjoys the long weekend and returns refreshed for another great week of learning.
