We thank Huntington Learning Center, Austin Creative Reuse, and Texas Touch Photography LLC for a fantastic teacher supply drive at Cedars International Academy on Friday, April 19. The teachers and students will benefit from all the supplies.

Touring musician Ms. Mirka Novak from the Czech Republic visited Cedars International Academy and shared with the students how to use voice as music.

National Child Abuse Prevention Month recognizes the importance of families and communities working together to prevent child abuse and neglect. Prevention services and supports developed by this collaboration can help parents, other caregivers, and communities protect children and strengthen families.

Cedars PK-2nd grade students, teachers, and staff came together to boost morale, uplift spirit, and show support for 3-8th graders taking the STAAR test creating an electrifying atmosphere of school pride coming together as a community and celebrating the school spirit in a fun and energetic way.

We are hosting a bake sale next week after school! All items will be $1 - $5 and funds will go to Student Councils fundraising efforts. This year we are fundraising for new furniture for the Great Room. If you would like to purchase any items please bring cash. The after school sale will run Monday to Thursday from 4:05 - 4:20 and Friday 1:30 - 1:50.

We need your help in thanking our teachers. We will be showering teachers with a variety of thank-you gifts. We are asking for you to donate $10 to support Teacher Appreciation. Please turn in $10 to school by Thursday, April 11, 2024. All students that donate will receive a N.U.T. Day pass & HOUSE POINTS.

The STAAR EOC Exams are coming soon! These tests are a crucial component of every student’s academic journey and a requirement for graduation in Texas. Please see the following letter from Mr. Ray for the test dates and important preparation information.

All students will be provided glasses to experience the historical eclipse in an educational and meaningful way.

Cedars International Academy is open on April 8th. We invite parents to join their children to watch this rare event. Solar eclipse glasses will not be provided to the parents, and the parents planning to come will have to bring their own glasses. Dress up in black and yellow to celebrate this rare and amazing event.

April's Parent Involvement Committee meeting will be on Zoom from 5:30 to 6:30PM. An email will be sent out the day of the meeting with a link and instructions on how to join.
