Employee Benefits

Welcome to Your Employee Benefits Portal

We encourage you and your family to become familiar with the benefits website.  You will find detailed information about your employee benefits program including benefit summaries, claim forms, administrative forms, customer service numbers, provider directories, and direct links to the insurance carriers.  You will also find some helpful information regarding each employee benefit product so you can choose a benefit package that's right for you and your family. The District Contribution amount of the current school year Health Insurance Premium can be found in the Benefits Guide under Quick Links.

We are happy to announce that the Cedars International Academy School Board has approved the District Contribution for health insurance for the 2022-2023 School year.  Cedars International Academy will pay up to $492/month which covers the employee-only health insurance premium amount for either TRS-ActiveCare Primary, TRS-ActiveCare Primary +, or the Scott and White HMO Plan.

How to Enroll or Make Changes to Benefits

Use the Cedars International Academy Employee Benefits Guide to learn about your options. All users are required to Register for a new account.

When to Enroll:

If it's open enrollment

During the month of August, employees can make changes to benefits for coverage effective Sept 1 - August 31 of the current school year. Once you've enrolled, a confirmation statement is emailed to you as proof of your elections.

Open enrollment is passive for current employees. It is recommended that all employees log in to the Benefits HUB during Open Enrollment to review their current selections. If no changes are needed, then no further action is required. If changes are needed, you may do so in the Benefits HUB during the open enrollment timeframe.

If you're a benefits-eligible new hire

Welcome to Cedars International Academy! You can enroll in benefits during the first 30 days of your employment. You’ll get a notification at your cedars-academy.org email address prompting you to log in to the Employees Benefits Portal or access is typically granted by the 2nd day of employment. Not sure which plan is best for your needs, "Ask Emma" is a helpful enrollment decision tool available to help you.

You must actively select or waive coverage within 30 days of your start date.

If you have a qualifying life event

Certain life events such as having a baby, getting married or divorced, or if one of your dependents gains or loses coverage, allow you to make changes to your benefits. If you have a qualifying life event, make sure to contact Human Resources to update your benefit elections within 31 days.

Once you’ve made your changes and submitted the required documentation, you’ll receive an email at your cedars-academy.org email address confirming your new elections.

If you don’t make changes within 31 days of a qualifying life event, you won’t be able to make any changes to your benefits until the next open enrollment period.
